It was worse..... ended the day with a massive 0.23 O's3.995kWP SSW facing. Commissioned 7 July 2011. 24 degree pitch + Solar Immersion installed May 2013, after two Solar Immersion lasting just over the guarantee period replaced with Solic 200... no problems since0 -

0.45 O's today...shaping up to be my worst October yet:(

Generated 85 kWh which was the exact PVGIS Climate estimation for the month.
October 2014 - 85 kWh
October 2013 - 77 kWh
October 2012 - 87 kWh
October 2011 - 110 kWh

So what did we do:-
1.4 O’s yesterday
Today we did 2.04 O’s.
This month ended up +3% on PVGIS and ended 14.1 % up overall for the year. This October being 4.04 O’s up on last October.
Graph for the year shown below…….2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

Poor October just like September
ESE 94% PVGIS

WNW 92.7%
Would be nice to see the sun now and again in not so sunny north Derbyshire
And no sun again today(well maybe 5 mins) so can't be a$$ed to post daily's2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -
Today came in at 1.8 O's
Giving me a total of 263.84 Kwh this gave me 101% of my PVGIS of 261 Kwh. :T
Running total for the year 2.138 Mwh this gives me 102% of my PVGIS of 2.091 Mwh. :T3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
Hi All
Strange month, over 1/2 of total generation in the first 10 days and 2/3 by mid month, so looking forward to a better total than last October (which was pretty bad) .... then ended up with the worst tenth month total by a good margin ... only just met the original target, bettering it by a mighty ~1kWh ...
Thermal system has been the same, there's usually been just about enough input to bring the lower part of the cylinder up to match the temperature at the top, but not enough to stop a gradual cooling, so we've needed three GCH burns and used ~19kWh of gas ....
I really do hope that the new £100million supercomputer for the MetOffice will improve their accuracy, but doubt that changing hardware is the answer .... All day yesterday the forecast was for a really bright day today ... oddly I looked at Sat24 yesterday afternoon and knew that they would be wrong just by looking at the cloud mass and the speed/direction of travel .... this morning they were still saying the same, telling me that there's blue sky overhead whilst the MK1 eyeball test said otherwise ...... do they actually compare their weather model with what's happening in the real world, or just keep the curtains closed and play ostrich ?
