You'll be pleased with that figure in winter when you have snow on the panels and you produce ZERO O's as in ZERO kWh, believe me.....it does happen t118047.gif

But it was a particularly mild first few months of year. Unlikely to get two such years in a row (but I hope I'm wrong).

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

  • I feel your pain Merlin139 Yesterday was my lowest output since installation a mere 1.08 Kwh for the day :(

Tunnel... Food for thought indeed as you say when the panels are covered with snow, zero output.... I'm going to have to get an extension for my broom to sweep them clear if the sun comes out as it sometimes does on a crisp winters day..... Can't be having those valuable rays going to waste.
4kw PV fitted 4th July 2014 (Green Energy NW £5600). WSW facing, 30 deg Pitch, Unshaded, Samil Solar River inverter, 16 Solar World Mono panels, Iboost on Immersion Heater. located in mid Lincolnshire.

Cheers for pointing that out as I had not even thought about that.

Is it safe to sweep the snow off your panels? Also my local window cleaner says he can clean my Panels once every 3 months for £20 each time. Is it safe to use a squeegy on them. And do they need cleening that often? We do have a arable field behind the house that has bee very dusty in years gone by. Dumb questions I know but before I go and ruin my panels I thought I would ask.:o
