Hi Kevin, Excuse my ignorance, what does the (1.15/kWp) relate to?:o
OK, strictly speaking I should have put 1.15kWh/kWp - it's a 2kWp system so 2.3kWh represents 1.15kWh for each kWp of installed panels. One of the problems with people posting just their daily output is that without ploughing back through previous posts to find the size of the system it's hard to tell how it compares with others.

Which is one reason why many of us have those details in the signatures, allowing any readers to convert to kWh/kWp themselves if they so wish.

Aha - I hadn't got the "show signatures" option ticked, thanks! The only problem I can see with it is that it is not terribly relevant when posting on other forums.

So long as signatures are short (I prefer one line) and unobtrusive (small font and plain formatting), I don't think people mind. Don't go making it all pink and full of Smilies though or I'll put you on my ignored user list  You can also use your Profile>Location to specify your general location, if you want a shorter signature.

Jetstream On The Move - Tuesday 09:39

The jetstream is a hot topic at the moment, and news that it could well be about to move north and bring some improved weather to the UK is creating quite a buzz. Before we get to that point though there's more rain on the way.

    14.8 kWh today.
Best generation during July was on the 12th with 23.3kWh.
The system is 31 days old today and has generated 378kWh in it's first "month".

However, my neighbour (the seller) has pointed out a clause in our property contracts stating I have to apply for written consent for any additions to the property, requiring planning permission or not, before works can commence - which I did not do

    Wish me luck...

    Stuart.

I am not sure I understand this.
Is your neighbour saying that there is an "estate" covenant for where you live? (ie the builders of the original houses had to comply with certain restrictions (usually the building line and other stuff such as the house must be worth at least £400) These restrictions could be imposed on future purchasers and acted as a sort of planning permission before the government imposed a system throughout the land. There just might be some severe clauses depending on the "poshness" that the original speculator was trying to create, usually for a particularly desirable area of land. However imposing these restrictions is usually a way of extracting blackmail money from subsequent owners (if the original speculator has retained some land and the rights) or as a method for the resident's association to discourage "unsatisfactory" treatment of existing property or to prevent over development (eg houses into flats). If you or previous neighbours have flouted the rules for years a judge would probably find that they are no longer enforceable.
[Personally I think the beneficiaries of such restrictions should be required to re-register them at the Land Registry every (say) 15 years.]

If your neighbour is acting as an individual, I doubt he will get far, unless your house has been built in what used to be his garden; though there was a notorious example on here, where someone, near Manchester, had managed to get the local council involved.

Just had a few days away but SPs carried on working of course :-

    Fri 13th 5.55 kWh
    Sat 14th 14.04 kWh
    Sun 15th 22.78 kWh
    Mon 16th 6.92 kWh
    today 12.12 kWh

No spectacular generation and wasn't able to use much of the free electricity though some consolation to have earnt nearly £30 while away.

This is also approximately my 11 month 'anniversary' 3073 kWh so far and (maybe ???) a really good month to complete the first year.

Got a 16 today. I guess the south west was a little dryer for a change.

Also got some good news, after 2 months of research and trying every angle possible I rang my DNO yesterday afternoon to find I had 'no' permission for an extension. Latest application failed as I'd wrongly used the previous reference number. Pretty much gave up.

This morning couldn't sleep, sore back and legs, so decided to get up and put a whole new application together, scanning forms, downloading PDFs for inverter G83 certificates, schematics (old and new) etc. E-mailed it at 4am, rang the DNO at 2pm to see if it had arrived safely and whether they could shorten the 10 week turnaround a smidge. They'd received it, knew how hard I'd been trying, and had already approved it. Wowza! Total stars.

Still gonna take a miracle to organise everything in time, but might, just might have a little bit of West to add to my East before 1/8/12.

    Tired Mart.
