Total for May, 223.80 kWh against SAF PVGIS of 229 kWh, so pretty close. That was the third warmest spring on record (beaten only by 2007 and the amazing 2011), but only about 70% of average sunshine for the UK I think I read. For comparison:

    2013: 227.38 kWh
    2012: 197.41 kWh

Best day was 3rd with 13.20 kWh (my highest ever)
Worst day was 27th with 1.38 kWh.

All my highs so far have been in April or May although July has been my best month for total generation in two out of three years, July last year being my best month ever (as I suspect it was for many, although I imagine it would have been beaten by April 2011).

Everyone throwing their numbers around, can I join in?!

May, well, glad it's gone if June is going to continue like it started today!
    Scores on the doors...

May taget was 472kWh, actual was 434kWh.
    Best & Worst days, 21/5 = 23.04kWh and 28/5 = 2.98kWh

    Cheers all!

    Okay, I'll do the numbers:-

    May '13 - 128.44 O's
    May '14 - 124.76 O's

This month I saved 65% off my Lecci Bill.
    Consumer meter reg. 107 kWh
    Usage was 308 kWh.
    Exceeded PVGIS by 19%.

Last May '13 saved 57% on Lecci Bill.
    Meter Reg. 125 kWh.
    Usage was 290.26 kWh.
    Exceeded PVGIS by 22.09%

41.76% of panel costs returned in FIT payments excluding savings on Lecci; since Nov 22nd. 2011.

4.76 O's done today, didn't quite make the holy grail of a Hawaii..

Very pleased with the gizzmo though.. http://www.wattson.energyhive.com/dashboard/oscarsenergy coffee.gif

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Spoke too soon in my post 23rd May. Generation since then was poor, with only 2 days getting into double figures (PVGIS target was 13.3kWh/day), after the previous 2 weeks of every day getting into double figures.

    May Generation: 449.7kWh (9% ahead of PVGIS) [2013: +15%, 2012: +8%)
ImmerSUN usage: 195kWh (43% of generation) but had to fire up the boiler a few times since the 23rd to heat the tank.

June started well though with a 21kWh day yesterday, but today is back to last week's weather.

Broke through 9MWh yesterday on the generation meter (since Oct 2011).

I think we should have some informal awards here?

You know, like MSE Solar Oscars?
We could have categories like most helpful poster, maths genius, naysayer, spamworthy, cynical, biggest ever ejit?

To start the ball rolling, I'd like to nominate Martyn, zeupater, Kernel, groovy, tunnel, Eric, oscar, John, jimmy for some of the categories listed, but can I nominate myself for the biggest ever ejit category, aka the cockerel of the year award?

On April 15th I had a SolarImmersion diverter installed.
Looked good, obvious instructions followed and display said it was diverting surplus pv generation, thus reducing my import of leccy and saving me money, happy days!

    funny_set_of_gifs_to_share_your_appreciation_05.gif

On Friday last (30/5), we had used a lot of hot water as I'm decorating Lucifer's bedroom. Madam declared she wanted a bath but there wasn't enough hot water (as the weather was carp ) so I said put the immersion on boost.
    How to says she?

I show her the boost button, the display shows it's boosting and off she goes to wait for the water to heat.

About an hour later I'm just washing myself and paint tray/roller down.
    Hot water isn't? Wut?

I then hear my beloved in the shower, ok, no bath. But it's an electric power shower.

I check the SI box, says it's waiting as there is no generation and the boost period was only for 30 minutes.

In our kitchen, which is where the programmer for the heating/hot water is, there are 2 switches - one for the programmer, the other for the immersion, with a little orange/neon light.
Since the SI install, this has been off, but we have had the hot water on for an hour via the boiler each morning so haven't noticed the hot water.

On Saturday, I turned off the programmer for hot water and pressed the immersion switch to on. It immediately lit up orange.
I checked the cc energy meter I still have running, took an electric reading on the import meter and checked agian an hour later.

No import, the cc display was reading lower as I had turned the tv off and the orange light was flickering on the immersion switch.
I looked at the SI, it said it was diverting 7%.

So, my nomination for myself for the biggest ever ejit category, or as the meejda refer to it, the cockerel of the year award, is for having spent £190 on a box to divert excess generation, when for 45 days it did diddly squat!!!

Thank you for your kind thoughts, and cut back on the laughter, it's not that funny.
