Couple of O's for me today. very surprised as when i awoke it was to the sound of rain bouncing down like there was no tomorrow. Sun did come out though and i noticed my 2.04kWp SSW system peak this afternoon at 2.14kWh generation for a brief moment....still didn't help it make its daily PVGIS estimate though smiley-sad058.gif
    2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)

I was fairly happy with today. Only 8.5 kWh - but even that is way above my break-even point. But the real delight was in collecting over a tonne of rainwater leaving all our indoor tanks completely full - so we should be OK for flushing WCs for a few weeks yet,

    Good evening everyone.

    Yesterday's total was 6.26:(
Today is much better at 17.7kwh, most of which was done prior to lunch time.

I've generated 300 kWh in total so far this month. Not sure how this stands up to my monthly estimate. I've calculated a figure on the PVGIS website of 396kWh, but not confident I've input parameters correctly.

As a side note, I've been asked why I have an undersized inverter.

I've read a few posts and articles that summarise that this is not uncommon and can actually be better performance wise.

I'm not concerned about my system as my generation seems to be similar to other systems my size.....but, do any of you have any thoughts, or give further insight/experience on this?

    Thanks, Dawn.

It's normal for inverters on 4kWp systems to be limited to 3.68kW as that is the maximum you are allowed without DNO approval so it's nothing to do with efficiency in this case.
