As I was part of the 3rd of March rush, and as it had taken a week for my installer to register me, I had to accept the loss of about £50 of initial generation.

The installer I used posted off the registration (Special Delivery) on the same day as installation, with a Gen Meter reading of 1, which it had. Worth going back to your installer; ask them for the exact loss you have incurred due to their inefficiency, nowt to lose:T Go John Go:money:

I guess you are referring to the fact that there was a leap day this year?
According to the Sunrise/Sunset times I downloaded for our location, both 21st and 22nd June 2012 have sunrise at 0354 and sunset at 2031 (both GMT).
I was, so wouldn't the only rival for longest day be the 20th?

8.95 kWh this side. I can't understand why I'm still beating you with the Sun so high in the sky; and when it's not high, it's on the north side for several hours, favouring your flatter pitch?

10.57 generated on Friday - late afternoon sun.

Discretion is the better part of valour in this case - there were a number of corners cut to achieve the 03 March deadline - so I won't be rocking the boat. In spite of not killing anyone in the last 40 years my shack no way complies with modern 17th issue regulations. A place like mine is now meant to have individual RCDs on every socket (with a special concession for the freezer).

The installer has some what contracted in size now that the gold rush is over. Blood and Stones ?

B.Gas has the nerve to suggest that the lost money will be recovered by my widow at the end of the contract; they also have on-line access to the actual registration on the database but use the date of receipt of the email application form.
However I stil think I am better off with B.Gas than with Npower by current supplier.

My flatter pitch probably helps a little for the first & last two hours of daylight but (say) 20% extra on next to nothing still isn't a lot. The real generation takes place a few hrs either side of Noon when even this week my pitch is too flat. Thirty degree pitch would be ideal for this week; my 17.5 deg is now better than anyone with a steeper than 42deg pitch but still worse than everyone else.

But I knew when I installed the kit that the roof wasn't ideal - although fwiw, if instead of the shallow pitched dormers we'd gone for flat topped ones generation would have been even worse (and the roof would have been leaking by now !).

Acid test is still to compare FIT payments with ISA interest and even yesterday was more than three times better than leaving money in the bank.

At the ten months old point, investment had returned 10% so I'm still confident it should be >12% in the first year.

    Hi Oscargrouch

Not smooth sailing, NPOWER this morning returned all my docs stating

"Declared Net Capacity is incorrect on your MCS certificate. Please can you contact your installer and ask it to be amended as it needs to be in kilowatts and return the new documents to us"

They also state the scheme will start when they receive fully valid documents. However if I return the documents within 14 days of this letter they will start the scheme from the initial date we received it.

oh well I contact the installers they already issued emailed the amended certificate.

As they say in Welsh Wales; dim problem. Glad you have it sorted. You can now calculate your dues from the number on your Gen meter from when it was installed.
