Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

Hi CW. Just pondering that import/export (aside from the good money you make selling excess PV). I make that about £67 in arbitrage for the month, or ~£800pa*. A great way to subsidise the batts, and help time shift RE to peak demand periods.Coastalwatch said:June finished with a precise 3 O's on the last day taking month total 3% ahead of pvgis at 138 O's.Month totals:-Generation 1220 kWh's PV, 220 Wind.Import 1173 at £0.093/kWh, (June '24 12.9 kWh's)Export 1513 at £0.15/kwh, (June '24 535 kWh's, surplus PV only)Consumption 880.EV's 241.Zero Charcoal or other FF's set fire too in generation of the above.First day of July 3.9 O's, about average for July but looking decidedly iffy so far today.
*Maybe the monthly figure will be a bit lower in the winter, as you'll need a tad to cover PV shortfalls, but still!
Very jealous.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Thanks Mart, I hadn't done the maths, simply preferring to wait for Octopus to do it via their statement.I have to confess that the drive to generate and store as much energy as we can is simply born out of the desire to be as energy independent as possible, be it summer or winter. I'm not suggesting the current returns aren't very welcome, after all, there has been quite some investment to arrive here but rather that than being held to ransome via the burning of harmful fossil fuels be they from friendly or not so friendly nations. We've no desire to go off Grid as how would Ripple deliver our share of renewable wind generation without it.Anyway, a little bird tells tells me that it won't be long before you can start joining in the fun!
Oh, todays generation 2.49 O's...... so a few more coppers to add.

I'll second that, 6.19 O's here, so a welcome boost after an iffy start to the month.
