Finished the month on a good day, well just above average anway, 0.85 O taking Decembers return to 73% of pvgis, 19.06 O's. Hoping for a better start to '24!

Happy to record a whole O for yesterday, so a touch above ave(0.86) for Jan. As for today, inverter still showing a zero total although four panels are suggesting 0.25 Wh's each so thank goodness batteries got topped up last night.

    2023 figures
    Generated        9255 kWh's, 1045 O's, 102.1 % of pvgis.
    consumed 7408 kWh's = 80%, Export 1847 kWh's.
    Imported 4208 kWh's.
    Total Consumption = 11616 kWh's of which ASHP's 1581, DHW 1351, Towel rads 1496, EV's 3174.

Hi CW, can I ask how much generation your investment in Ripple (the GF wind turbine) made last year? I have my fingers crossed for a figure greater than 2,361kWh.     B)
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

No problem Mart, although my curiousity has been raised regarding the 2361kWh figure, only I've been unable to appreciate it's significance!
Delighted to say that after a record December the annual total from our share was 4260 kWh's returning a Capacity Factor of 31.28%. A welcome increase on last years 25.4.
East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Nissan Leaf plus Zappi charger and 2 x ASHP's. Givenergy 8.2 & 9.5 kWh batts, 2 x 3 kW ac inverters. Indra V2H . CoCharger Host, Interest in Ripple Energy & Abundance.

Thanks CW. Sorry for being so cryptic, I was wondering if you were net zero/positive.

The 2,361 figure is the shortfall between your PV gen, and your total consumption. So including your Ripple investment, you are net positive.

I know you (me, and others) have investments in green schemes and generation, but since the Ripple scheme has a direct link (sort of) to your energy/bill*, I can't help but group it together for a nice old ponder or two. Thanks.

*I know it's not the same, but a tiny bit like having your own home wind generation.

Ah thanks, hadn't tried that simple comparison. Had to confess to being more concerned with our import figure, 4208, which, thanks to the wind record for December we also covered.
PV generation today 0.07 O. The sun did peep through briefly just lifting the gloom, but in darkness now while 60mph winds batter the bungalow until late evening apparently. :/
