Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

supplier estimated 3110 kWh per year, PVGIS reckons 1614 kWhThat sounds like there's something wrong the PVGIS calc. The results are usually much closer than that.PVGIS azimuth isn't compass degrees, it's degrees from south. Have you told it your panels point north by accident?
December estimate now comes out at 113 kWh Vs 54.6 kWh actual
November estimate now 140 kWh Vs 130.4 kWh
Thought I'd check the Met Office and see if they have the Dec 2023 anomaly map for sunshine. I guess they were in work yesterday as it's already done:
For me in Cardiff, it suggests a figure of around 30-50%, so my figure of 66% seems reasonable. But I appreciate many factors contribute to the eventual generation figure.
For Dec 2022 my gen was 91% of target, v's the 90%-110% figure for sunshine:
For 2023 as a whole we have:
Again, for myself, the year is a little below average, and that's reflected in my annual total, coming 9th out of 13yrs.
For the UK as a whole, looks to be a middling year, with Scotland winning a bit.
And lastly, temp affects generation, and 2023 was warmer than the 1991-2020 average:
warmer still, v's the 1961-1990 average:
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

The 2,361 figure is the shortfall between your PV gen, and your total consumption. So including your Ripple investment, you are net positive.
I know you (me, and others) have investments in green schemes and generation, but since the Ripple scheme has a direct link (sort of) to your energy/bill*, I can't help but group it together for a nice old ponder or two. Thanks.
*I know it's not the same, but a tiny bit like having your own home wind generation.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

*I know it's not the same, but a tiny bit like having your own home wind generation.Ah thanks, hadn't tried that simple comparison. Had to confess to being more concerned with our import figure, 4208, which, thanks to the wind record for December we also covered.PV generation today 0.07 O.
