This is my first winter and given the rain and snow, i'm not surprised, but it is still quite shocking. Bring on the lighter/sunnier months.
Whilst I remember, on a normal day in winter with sunshine, does everyone else get lower generation? For example, I know the sun is much lower in the sky and not as high, I don't think I have any shadowing. I usually get around 5.7kwh with full sunshine, but at the moment it is around 3.2kwh. Is this normal for this time of year given the position of the sun?
I was wondering if I might need to clean them or if anyone cleans them regularly and how often?
Thanks!16 x 410w (6.6kw) Sharp panels, 5kw inverter and 6.5kw battery installed in May 2023.2 -

You generally get better output on sunny winter days because the lower temperature improves the efficiency of the panels. Even better if your roof pitch is 40 or 45 degrees. On the debit side, you don't get the peak for so long.

0.06 here today. A little bit of snow which hopefully has cleared. Not sure it's been very sunny, been out most of the day.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)2 -
My Lux only reports to 1 decimal place, so 0.2kWh, that's 0.038 O's
Recently added more loft insulation and noticed that the snow had melted off the roofs of almost all the other houses along our road but our roof was still covered. Great it's keeping the house warmer but might have kept the snow on the panels longer, a little heat from below could have helped shift it.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
