Currently trending hot water usage and heating via a temp stat to see how often I actually need to use the eddi4.3kwp JA panels, Huawei 3.68kw Hybrid inverter, Huawei 10kw Lunar 2000 battery, Myenergi eddi, South facing array with a 15 degree roof pitch, winter shade.3 -
It did not what to do up here yesterday.

Must have used every bit of free Electric. Six lots of washing, Dishwasher on, Tank of hot water and dinner cooked. In 24 hours till 07:00 this morning meter has gone up by 1.89 kWh.

What are O's please? I've googled (not an easy phrase) and read the start of the thread. At some point the discussion has changed from kWh to O's...0

The thread is called "Talking bout my generation". Your true generation is kWh/kWp; I think the poster ought to be responsible for posting his/her true generation; and the only true way of doing that is by posting it in kWh/kWp. This is then easily read by all, to determine if a system, however small, medium or large it is; how your system has performed in you own weather variant and gives an instant and exact relevence to other contibutors posts - hence the reason I now only post in kWh/kWp. (O's for short) We all like big numbers in ISA's, Bank Acounts, PV systems etc. and some always drive on the far right hand side lane on a motorway, even if there are 4 lanes and, the nearside two are empty. I would put it to you, that posting the number on your Gen Meter is irrelevant to what the thread is all about and does not portray a level playing field as far as number reporting is concerned...
2.6 O's for me yesterday. (Sunday)
1.88 O's today (Monday)......Good night from me and him....:rotfl:2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds3 -

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels). If you have panels spread over both elevations of a roof you are never going to achieve as much generation as someone with panels on a single roof elevation pointing South. I have never achieved a Maiden and last year only two Hawaiis. Someone in the same village as me with a south facing roof regularly gets Heavens. This week, despite wall to wall sunshine at home, I have been struggling to get a Hawaii from my mix of WSW and ENE arrays. However having panels that generate from early morning until almost dusk is far more useful to me (and to the grid) than having a huge peak in the middle of the day and very little at breakfast or tea time.
The reality is there is no level playing field - the scoring system was devised for and adopted by those with (generally) South facing roofs. Everyone else is at a disadvantage. At the end of the day it is the number on the generation meter that matters. 35kWh and a Hawaii is better than 25kWh and a Maiden any day.Or if you really want a worthwhile comparison why not adopt kWh generated/cost of panels?Edit: Here’s my generation today. The myEnergi app over reads so I need to knock off a kWh or so to get to the generation meter figures. My panels started generating before 5am but I don’t get anything useful until 6.30 am because of shading from 2 large Sycamore trees across the road. I’ll finish generating about 8.45pm. I do though (on a good day) get 2 kW from 7am to 7pm but only peak at about 4.3kW (from 7.8kWp of panels) as the sun never hits both roofs optimally at the same time.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)1
