if I moved my house 300 miles south to the coast on the same Longitude PVGIS for my system would be 750 kWh per year higher.

Don't believe it, we often get sea fret that gets caught between the coast and the South Downs, go 5 miles inland and its often much better weather.

4.2 O's here with no import needed, making it three days in a row. Now wondering if we can make it through to autumn before imports of any magnitude feature again!

Forgive my ignorance - I'm a wind man - but what is the definition of "O's" ?
Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).
So in 24 hours, yesterday Tuesday 11th April my "O" was 152/20 = 7.4. Today, which is a better wind day my "O" as of 09:00 is 143/20 = 7.15  and the wind is forecast to remain at circa 20 knots gusting to 35 knots for the remainder of the day so I am hoping for an final "O" of around 19. ...............The problem is getting OVO to recognise that wind generation is generally greater than solar and actually pay my FIT without responding with "The reading you're trying to submit is higher than we would expect"  :disappointed: I am currently awaiting OVO payment of 2 quarters since being moved from SSE - but that is another story and maybe not for this thread.
