A measure of the number of full output hours produced by the panels. My system is 4.44kWp but limited by the inverter to 3.6kW so on a bright day I don't do so well. On moderately bright days I do Ok

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

    Taken from Oscargrough's Signature.

The idea being a way to compare production levels. Although it does not take into account the Latitude that the panels sit on. An example being if I moved my house 300 miles south to the coast on the same Longitude PVGIS for my system would be 750 kWh per year higher.
