My first post in this thread as we have only been generators for a little over a week, so far very mixed results!

    08/4 11.27
    09/4 11.46
    10/4 10.69
    11/4 5.01
    12/4 6.99
    13/4 6.4
    14/4 9.55
    15/4 10.41
    16/4 13.12
    17/4 6.28

What surprises me is just how unrelated to the actual weather forecast generation actually is!

The very best days are freaks when the sun is shining directly and also bouncing off suitably positioned clouds.

Can you add brief details of your kit and its angling round to an up at the sun?
Your approximate geographical location would also add interest and comparison to your posting.

  • Hmmm...

24 kWh yesterday but have noticed that the CurrentCost is possibly incorrect i.e. reading to low as sometimes it is not receiving the signal from the wireless clamp and needs a prod to display output again.

This has been a very lacklustre month so far, daily average 5.29kWh, well below PVGIS but I am reasonably hopeful that I might almost match my all-time record (30 April 2012) today as it's looking like continuous sunshine with fairly low temperatures - could do with a few more of those!

    We're home.

Hampshire weather was OK but looking at my Sunny Explorer records, it seems to have been a bit sunnier here.

    Mon 15th 18.62kWh
    Tue 16th 21.97
    Wed 17th 10.80
    Thu 18th 19.41
    Fri 19th 10.30

Today has been spectacular so far and (no doubt by coincidence) not too different from forecasts.

8.34 so far with an hour and a half to go till Noon and we're currently generating 3kW so (if all is well) we could reach 13 by Noon and 26 by sunset. Or of course we could have an unexpected total eclipse starting any minute and lasting all afternoon !
