October results.
Heating went on on the 30th Sep. Only 20 min burn, morning and evening, and didn't do too much ... yet!
Great month with 116% of target. Tiny spread, with 116% for the ESE and 117% for the WNW.
Generated 269kWh (48.21 O's).
Imported 377kWh.
Exported 145kWh.
Consumed 501kWh.
Gas was ~371kWh.
Getting better but import and export still high. BEV driving was mostly night rate, very little PV. A2A units used when PV spare.
Looks like annual leccy consumption will be around 6,800kWh, up from ~3,200kWh prior to BEV's and small heatpumps. Doing more BEV mileage than we did with the ICEV, so much fun.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.7 -
A decent month, 20kw above PVGIS which was pleasing.
Totals
258.8 generated
37.68 exported
246.12 consumed
25.47 grid consumption
The biggest difference is how much less I consumed as I heated my water from oil rather than electric.
As a trial I used around 1 litre of oil a day rather than 3kw of electric per day for the same outcome of heating water to 60 degrees.4.3kwp JA panels, Huawei 3.68kw Hybrid inverter, Huawei 10kw Lunar 2000 battery, Myenergi eddi, South facing array with a 15 degree roof pitch, winter shade.3 -

Some Sun, very steep peaks.
Nearly died this morning when I suggested that we should turn the heating and the DW said its not cold enough!

Don't think the sun made an appearance at all today, it got a bit brighter now and then, between the showers.

A useful 2.42 O's to finish October upon which totalled 25.6 O's, just 45% of pvgis due to failed inverter for the first 17 days. Thankfully all hunky dory now but unsure how much sense monthend figures will mean as a result, however:-Consumption 787 kWh's, Import 578 kWh'sGenerated 229 kWh's consumed 209 kWh's, Export 20 kWh's.EV 928 miles, 269 kWh's mix of grid and solar 3.45 m/kWh @3.6p/mile(so about double the average).First day of November 1.39 O's, so a good day when Nov average is but 1.06 O's.Oh dear, comes as a bit of a shock following the glorious months of sunny weather we'd become so used to!East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Another 10.7 kw yesterday the same as Monday so 2.1 0’s again and the weather looks like it’s going to be pretty good again today although a bit windy.
I’ve only had my system since the 21st October and made 100.3 kw for that month which I was pretty impressed with and it’s covering all our needs.
Be interesting too see what November and December brings 😁NorthNorfolk
