Just got a massive increase in my ESE generation (well not really). Been thinking the gen (power) on the monitor was low recently (whole last month), but put it down to heat reducing panel performance even more than I'd expected. Daily gen total has been great, so no problems.

Then today, having a pee (too much info?) in the downstairs toilet (aka 'the powerstation), and decided to check daily total on the Solaredge inverter, and noticed live gen was higher than the living room monitor had just said.

Cue, nipping back and for to compare, followed by wifey standing in the living room shouting out updates to me, and the monitor was only showing about 2/3rds of the inverter reading. I knew the daily totals on the TGM matched the inverter, so started to scratch my head, why the monitor was understating, since it simply reads the Wh flashes on the TGM.

DOH!!!!!! Remembered changing the batts in the Optismart a month ago, whose LED reader sits over the TGM flasher. Quick check, and I'd somehow managed to change the piggin setting from 1,000 (for 1,000wh flashes = 1kWh) to 1,600.

Really annoying, because I'd been using the power monitors in the living room to adjust the Amp charging limits for the BEV (on the phone app), so I could have been charging more for a month, though tbf we did manage to get by anyway just on PV charging.

What a silly sausage I am!

Still getting about an Hawaii each day, so excellent gen for August, but too hot, and we desperately need some rain now.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Bit of high cloud today which affected my curve but ultimately hardly lost anything compared to yesterday.
