5.93 O's yesterday. Average for the past 7 days is 5.9. Already generated 50% of PVGIS for August after just 11 days. Maybe great weather for solar, but desperately need some rain.

Alnat1 said:@EcoScruples I'm finding that the hotter it gets, the more I go over that 3.68kw. Under 25C it always caps at 3.669/3.670. 19-20 July and in this recent hot spell I get capping as high as 3.739.
Somebody will let me know if my simple reasoning is correct. Grid is usually 240-ish and I've noticed it goes higher on these days, maybe 248-250. Could this be because 6 out of the 14 houses on our street have solar? Does this higher voltage help slurp a bit extra out of the inverter?
29.7kWh 5.66 O's
So yes, it's possible that higher local voltage could well mean higher capping for you, if you have enough generation headroom, and the inverter is set to cap at 16A not 3.68kW. Obviously a lot of if's, but maybe?
Nearly forgot why I came on here - good gen, but too much heat (for me), now projecting 116% for August.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

I used my infrared temperature thingy just after 1pm on my South facing panels and recorded 58.6c which I think is about 6% loss based on NOCT of 48c4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.3
