Please keep us informed, I've bought a cheap monitor - Eco Eye Elite for £18.99 inc pp (new on Ebay) to sit alongside our Sunnybeam so that I can compare what's being used and what's being produced. It's a cheap fix as still unsure of which system to go for.
Generated exactly 4 kWh today.
Another £18.99 down the drain, buy another 7.4 of those and you could have bought yourself something decent (Wattson) to watch and, save your data for use in XL....Instead, you chose to watch a tennis match with a calculator in your hand; bye the time you have done the calculation, it has all changed..dear me... Pay for what you get....sorry. :rotfl:
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:
Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -

Dearest Oscargrouch, please don't fret as it's only a temporary monitor for us to use whilst we consider the other far superior systems being developed. After doing some research and looking at Wattson and Owl I soon realised that things are changing quickly and when we do make the purchase it will be the best one - at the time for us.
We also need to consider our cheaper economy 7 rates, storage heater and immersion water heating.
We took our time (6 weeks) and selected a PV system which we are very pleased with.
Oscargrouch how much time do you spend looking at Wattson and sitting at your computer?:hello:0 -

1.3 apples today
Or is that 1 banana?
I wonder if it's worth putting mini water wheels under every panel, feeding into the gutter..0 -

You may have 'slipped up' there, as I have no idea what kWp your system is...:( Is it a 4wKp and you reported 1.3 O's? If so, well done...:T if that's kWh from a 4kWp system then...
0.4 O's for me...:eek:2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

0.8 A's for me, so comparing system sizes, guess I've just "pipped" you;)
Local weather for the coming week is abysmal, so hope they've got it wrong:eek:16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0 -
" (the inverter tried to boast 120 kWh more - it is American)"
Remember there are losses between the panels and inverter and then inverter and generation meter before being fed into your power companies meter so that is why you have a slight difference in readings.
your 120 difference is similar to mine0 -
1.1 'O's
Forecast for coming week is a messy mix of everything. Even some snow Sunday night. Oh well.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

No snow yet. We have though, had rain from early morning til now
1.5kWh for me.
