The old meter going backwards should have been reported when the system was installed. It is possible that when the Electricity supplier or DNO find out you could end up with a very large estimated bill for the electricity you should have been charged for.Yoshii said:Should I cancel the installation as I will lose benefit of meter going backwards especially in the good summer months or am I am clutching at straws

Technically, you have to inform your leccy supplier(s) if you have a meter that spins backward so that they can replace it with one that doesn't, since you are benefiting from 'net-metering' instead of export rate payments (or even both).Yoshii said:Should I cancel the installation as I will lose benefit of meter going backwards especially in the good summer months or am I am clutching at straws
