Been away for the weekend and find the following recorded from Friday. 6.4, 4.6 & 3.6 O's.
Today is looking iffy so will probably struggle to match even the lowest of those come the close. Currently 3% ahead of pvgis but will probably slip back by close today.East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Nissan Leaf plus Zappi charger and 2 x ASHP's. 4.2 O so far today and I'm past PVGIS for the month. It's still generating a little bit, but I won't be able to get another reading until Thursday.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230

Just reached the 442 kWh I needed for May’s PVGIS
As of last night I was still 179 kwh (23 Os) short of PVGIS total for May. Given that we are only 6 or 7 miles from each other as the crow flies and therefore have very similar weather I don’t have a great deal of confidence in the PVGIS calculations for varying panel orientations.
To achieve May target you need 110.5 Os and I need 111. That doesn’t seem right as your roof is SSE(30* pitch) and mine are ENE and WSW (both 39* pitch).
Or maybe I have just done my PVGIS calcs incorrectly which of course is quite possible. (I will check them again later).
I would be interested to hear what the May target (expressed in Os) is for others with east/west roofs.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)0 -

Hi Nick, it’s not the performance of my panels that concerns me, rather the fact that PVGIS predicts a higher target (in terms of Os) for my east/west roof than for a roof much closer to south.i.e it is suggesting my roof will be more efficient than yours.
On 24th May I had a near perfect day yet only logged 5.81 Os while a gentleman 100 metres away logged 7.3 Os with a roof that is orientated 90* to mine.
Edit: Month to date average efficiency for the near neighbour’s and my own systems works out at 4.49 and 3.37 Os respectively. If those figures were extrapolated, monthly totals would be 139 and 104 Os. My neighbours orientation is similar to Nick’s so that would put him 25% ahead of PVGIS while I would be 5% behind. That can’t be right for two houses almost next door.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)0
