Graph tells me I had a very poor morning and then the Sun came out around midday.4.77 O'sI was on my motorbike all day down to London and back with 20,000 others in support of Soldier F. A mixture of Sun wind and cloud.
Good for you:T:T Very Justified cause you were all supporting; a sad 3.68 O's today...:(...coffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Is it possibly to generate more than the system? Mine is a 6kwh system 12 panels West and 8 East. They are 300w panels and it just showed 4kwh on the west panels 400w more than they should and a total of 6.12. That can’t be true?

Hiya. the panel ratings are at a nominal 25C (usually), but most of the time you get less as they will be much hotter - think touching a black car that's been in the sun.

But when the temp is low, there's a cold wind, and cloud, you can get much higher spot generation as the sun pops from behind a cloud and hits cold panels. I'll guess/assume that those highs you saw were brief, as the panels now back in sunshine (for high generation) will heat back up fast (good sunshine). April and October often give the highest power figures (kW's) due to clear skies and colder temps, whereas the summer months will give lower power but higher energy (kWh's) due to warmer temps but longer days.

Our 3.58kWp ESE keeps hitting (briefly) the inverter cap of 3.68kW, which isn't bad considering that's after all system losses, so the panels must be pumping out more again.

Finally got a Wink with 4.76 O's, and month end prediction now at 101%. Forecast for today is white cloud every hour, but currently sunshine and well over a kW.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

I keep daily records and just had a look at what my generation meter said exactly 1 year ago, wow 4528 kwh in the last year for my 4kwp system is pretty good isn't it.

Only 2.6 Os today but not too disappointed after the forecast. The 20.5 kWh we produced met most of our needs, including 7 kWh into the IBoost, 2 ASHPs on nearly all day and the plasma tv on for about 4 hours.
Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)

I wonder which of the three consumed the most energy?
4.4 O's here today, no IBoost or Plasma so can't complete with you I'm afraid, but did use the ASHP's for a couple of hours each. Spent most of the day removing a couple of unwanted radiators from the GCH system and in preparation for installation of a thermal store. So maybe an IBoost or similar later!
