It was a decent day yesterday with 0.73 O's, and now predicting 96% for November, but nothing but rain forecast for the next two days, so it all comes down to a sunny 30th to rescue the figures.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

    Okay, try this then..0.92 O's..:rotfl:..coffee.gif
    Edit: Where has everyone gone???:eek::rotfl::rotfl:
Against all odds, we had a few sunny spells yesterday and generated 4.007 kWh (which I believe is a whole one and a bit of your O thingys)

'Everyone' hasn't 'gone' anywhere - they're just losing faith that the sun will ever shine again :D Cheer up guys - it will get even worse for next three weeks but will then start getting better.

    or as Percy put it
if winter comes can spring be far behind

  • To put it all into perspective, on the weather news BBC this morning they showed a picture of Tromso which is predictably under snow. Today the sun will set at 11.30 (am!) and they won't see the sun again for I think it was 48 days in mid-January.

    Count your blessings!

Seventh full year figures from Bedfordshire.

2.5kWp Hyundai panels, SMA 2500HF, SE, no shading.

    Yr 7 - Actual 2476kWh
    Yr 6 - Actual 2319kWh
    Yr 5 - Actual 2384kWh
    Yr 4 - Actual 2475kWh
    Yr 3 - Actual 2461kWh
    Yr 2 - Actual 2312kWh
    Yr 1 - Actual 2395kWh

    MCS 2146kWh
    PVGIS 2233kWh

Given that the panels are now seven years old, I'm very pleased that this year was a record - even if only by 1kWh! :T  :T

    I'm sure there's a slight error there somewhere !

Sunrise should be before local noon and sunset after it. At 69.6492° N, 18.9553° E , Tromso's local noon should be occurring approx. 15 mins before the local timezone's 'official noon' . Sunrise this morning should therefore have been before 11:45 local time and sunset after 11:45(but possibly still before 12:00 local time ?)

A surprise couple of hours of brightness this morning gave us 0.32 Os in an otherwise very grey day.

  • Barely daylight again today apart from the sun making a guest appearance between 1 & 2 pm boosting output from 0.13 to 0.579 O's before going back to sleep again. Still, just under 3 kWh diverted into the Leaf so enough for around 10 miles at winter rates. Looks like it will be Friday before the sun wakes up again over here!

2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).
