Sun has dipped below the horizon at the end of what turned out to be the best month ever - "ever" being since June 2013 of course...

Best month overall at 682kWh or 130 Os:beer:

Best run of high production with virtually max production every day for the last 10 days.

Makes up for a rubbish March and even more rubbish April. Not done the maths but looks like back on track for the year as a whole.

Long may this weather last, though a few showers to wash the panels would not be bad either:rotfl:

A best month ever here also: 528 kWh, 140 Os. May 2018 was previous best month ever. About 76% of generation used at home. That falls below our normal high standard of 80% plus. The newish heat pump tumble dryer is probably the reason for our declining usage.

Washed my panels the other day - harvested rain water from our 600l IBC tank, pump and 4m water-fed squeegee from Lidl (other supermarkets are also available - lol).

Interesting challenge as hose and squeegee full of water weighs a few kilo. Missed a couple of bits which you can see from the ground but probably worth doing every now and then, especially when there has been a long spell of dry and dusty weather.

That said, I am not about to go into business washing panels!

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).
  • Not quite Heaven today but not grumbling about 6.9 O's.

Now, new for me this month, I've actually gone to the trouble of recording everything properly this month for a change, by that I mean on a sheet of paper rather than on any old scrap that's about.. Long may it continue.

Total generation for June 597 Kw/h

Total electricity Imported for June 59 Kw/h

    Hi All

Best June to date by a couple of percent & ending up as second best monthly total, behind July 2013 by less than the average daily generation over the past week .... what a difference a 31 day month makes! ...

Best May followed by best June ... now what are the chances of continuing the trend for a while? ....

Best June here, and second best month ever by just 18kWh (July 2013).

    Got 757kWhs 135.66 O's.

    Imported 74kWhs, consumed 223kWh's, probably 20% of that being A/C. Exported 609kWhs.

Yearly total now predicting 102% and 4,444.4kWhs.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
