Worst day ever - nil, zilch, nothing:(
It's been snowing all day and other than the odd avalanche from the panels they are covered/partially covered in about 5cm of snow.

Welcome to the club ... the snow's at least 4x deeper here according to the top of our bird-table & wheelie-bins ... also no generation since Thursday ...
We've got really large snow overhangs on the roof, when they start to go it'll be like an avalanche ... hopefully scrubbing the panels clean in the process!

Our first ever zero generation day in 2.5 years.I think....0

Snow on panels all day, our first zero day since the panels were installed 3.75 years ago, a massive 4.08 O's so far in December.Cheltenham. 3.90 Kwp system. SSE = 2.73kwp (14 x 195w panels), WWS = 1.17kwp (6 x 195w panels). 30 degree slope.

Had to happen one day...2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:
Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -
Ha ha ... losers, I got 0.018 O's.
I know the ESE generated a bit, but not enough to tickle the 1kWh increment TGM, but saved from a zero by the more sensitive WNW TGM clocking up a mighty 0.1kWh.
I suspect export was zero.
Supposedly sunny later today, no need to worry about snow on panels as the thin coating washed off with sleet. What a cold, grey miserable day it was yesterday.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

0.16 O's yesterday.3.96 kWp System, SSE Facing, 30 Degree Pitch, 12 x 330W BenQ Panels, Solar Edge Inverter, Lincoln, Lincolnshire. Installed 26th May 2015.0

Hi
Temperature's absolutely getting balmy here. it's risen by 2.6C in the past hour to .... -1C ! ....
More snow overnight ... just measured it when refilling the bird-feeders & we have a good 10" on the lawn, so probably something similar on the panels ... currently in the brightest of bright sunshine conditions having a laugh at a pigeon pulling at some tree ivy berries, getting swamped by snow, shaking, fluffing up to get warm for a while .. then starting again - Times like this make you appreciate the advent of opposable thumbs & all of the advantages they've brought!
Anyway, with all of that talk about bright sunlight & advantages ... still no sign of a single watt here ... heating was on for a couple of hours Fri/Sat/Sun & we had the log burner going for a while yesterday afternoon .. apart from that the heat-pump is performing admirably even with a snowy top-hat ...

The snow's not too bad in Suffolk, but not much sun. 0.06 O's for me yesterday.
Being relatively new to PV (I bought a house a few months back that has panels installed), can I ask if you guys would sweep off snow if you could reach it?0 -

I've always considered ladders & ice to be a lethal combination ... add the force of a slab of snow moving at pace pushing against a ladder & a person clinging to the top of it doesn't really give me a warm feeling ...
... when the snow on my roof finally wants to move, a loss of friction & gravity will help it move all on it's own & the noise will let everyone know it's happened! ... the panels will then have been scrubbed nicely clean for the first time in a couple of years ...
