    3.725 O's here today:D

Still waiting for my 1st Hawaii this year:mad::eek:

I had another one today, and I've lost count of how many this year. If it's any consolation, my (1930s) water harvesting system has run dry, and I have to compensate for all that sun with (metered) water from the mains to keep everything alive in the garden. So, swings and roundabouts....

Had a look at the website for Hive, but it only describes the system for one energy monitor. How does it work with solar panels to tell you how much you are exporting? Does it need two sensors?

Found the answer by googling it, a different type of hub & an eco-eye sensor are needed; doubling the price to about £70.

4.15 O's yesterday, fingers crossed the sun stays out as PVGIS target is very very close!!
3.96 kWp System, SSE Facing, 30 Degree Pitch, 12 x 330W BenQ Panels, Solar Edge Inverter, Lincoln, Lincolnshire. Installed 26th May 2015.
  • Managed to beat April estimate yesterday and at the same time beat last years numbers, so today is a bonus, on 7kwhs so far today.

Just looking back at my numbers though and realised how bad February was, 114kwhs - last year I manages 230kwhs against a target of 156.

Hi there I had to get a clamp which connects to pv and also standard electricity feed. This then connects to energy hive which does the reporting. Unfortunately it couldn't use my Geo clamp so I had to buy another.£70 is about right but I think I should save that by switching stuff off when I import and consume when I export

The Geo measures what I produce (solar edge does also so didn't need Geo) but not what I consume. That said I quite like it.

I can see there is a significant amount of pv generation I don't use which I'd going to need some thought....
