2.7 O's yesterday. Just scraped PVGIS for October (276.7/265). Lets hope Nov/Dec aren't as grim as last month.
    16 Panel (250W JASolar) 4kWp, facing 170 degrees, 40 degree slope, Solis Inverter. Installed 29/9/2015 - £4700 (Norfolk Solar Together Scheme); 9.6kWh US2000C Pylontech batteries + Solis Inverter installed 12/4/2022 Year target (PVGIS-CMSAF) = 3880kWh - Installer estimate 3452 kWh:Average over 6 years = 4400 :j
  • 1.47 O's yesterday. 197 kWh generated in October, against PVGIS target of 246 kWh, so did'nt hit that target, but did beat last October's figure of 187 kWh, so not all bad. :)

Some of you may remember me looking for advice months ago regarding problems my Dad was having (his system is identical to mine) relating to PV Isolation faults. The installers have since relayed the panels, rejointed all connections on roof and replaced his inverter with the same type.
The problem still exists and now they are offering him another replacement Inverter but of a different type. They want to give him a Solis, also 3.6 kw.

My opinion was bite their hand off. If they`re offering to give him another brand new inverter, for his nearly 3 year old system, take it!

    Any comments?

Did the installers consider that there may be a fault in one of the panels? I'd have expected them to have done this test before even considering replacing the inverter.

Not sure if they tested for that Dave. I`d like to think they are experienced enough to diagnose the problem...surely it`s not this first time they`ve encountered this. I`ve been surprised at how inclined they`ve been to just go ahead and change out the inverter.
