I have just scraped past 300kwh for the month. Unfortunately still 50kwh behind target and one day to go. I haven't had my panels for a full year but guess this is impossible to achieve even from a bright summers day on a 4kw system.

    Not too bad a day, a/an Hawaii + 0.4 O's.......
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

5.32 Os today and 326kWh for the month, 30kWh short, so will be close to the months target.
4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.

Blimey, 5.61 O's yesterday, my best day since the 12th August 2015. :T - That has helped me get closer to the PVGIS for March than I thought I would be. :)

I fully accepted (with the terrible winter weather) that I wasn't getting anywhere near estimates from my panels but would have hoped March would have been much better. However as of this morning I've achieved 178 kWh of an estimated 259. Which means I've averaged just under 6 when I should be achieving 8.37. In fact only 8 days of the month have achieved the average.
    For the record:

    Month ............. Estimate .............Achieved
    Dec....................74........................ 25
    Jan.................... 82.........................38
    Feb.....................129 ......................114

On a brighter note yesterday was my best ever at 4.12 O's and also a peak of 3.1 kW which I don't understand as I only have a 3kW inverter.
    Install 28th Nov 15, 3.3kW, (11x300LG), SolarEdge, SW. W Yorks.
    Install 2: Sept 19, 600W SSE

Check sigs to see if there is anyone near you and see how they got on - I know most people struggled in Dec and Jan but I think Feb was pretty good for most people so yours does sound a bit low. did you get your estimate from PVGIS?

I reached the March PVGIS estimate at 2PM so it is all 'profit' from here to the end of the day.....
    I think....

Hiya ET, I'm with Michaels, your gen does look a little low. I stuck a test pin in York, with your rough details and also got a figure of ~260 for Mch, so your performance does look a bit low, assuming others have had a reasonable/average Mch, which seems to be the general consensus.

Can you see anything obvious, or think of something that might be wrong? Any particularly ugly shading you're getting in the Winter and early Spring?

Don't panic, as your system is able to go 100%+, which sounds right for Mch/April and Sept/Oct when the sun is good and temps low, so that's when we tend to see the highest spikes, with perhaps 90% sustained.

So it can work, so hopefully there's nothing wrong, but keep checking, confer with local PV'ers and ask the installers if it still doesn't seem right.

Just a thought, but does the TGM match the inverter? The SolarEdge inverters seem to be slightly over, mine is by about 1.5%. that's fine, but are they reasoanably close? Do any of the panels seem to be underperforming when you compare their generation each day?

    ET,

I have had a poor few months:

    Nov 73% of Estimate
    Dec 61% of Estimate
    Jan 70% of Estimate
    Feb 137% of Estimate
    Mar 84% of Estimate

But if you look at 2015 Jan and Feb beat Estimate and Mar was at 94%

    Between Apr - Sep 2015 I was 92 O's up on Estimate.

Do you have any shading issues that effect your panels?
Are all of your panels producing around the same amount. Are any of them under performing. Have a look on your Layout on the SolarEdge dashboard.

I had a peak that showed on my SolarEdge graph the other day of 4.16 kWh and my inverter is only 4kW.

My last 3 days of production have all been around 3.5 O's but could have been 5 to 6 on each day if I had not had clouds and rain in the middle of the day.

346.6/360 (96.3% PVGIS) so the last few days have improved things somewhat from a nightmare scenario mid month. Can't complain as Jan and Feb were well over.
    16 Panel (250W JASolar) 4kWp, facing 170 degrees, 40 degree slope, Solis Inverter. Installed 29/9/2015 - £4700 (Norfolk Solar Together Scheme); 9.6kWh US2000C Pylontech batteries + Solis Inverter installed 12/4/2022 Year target (PVGIS-CMSAF) = 3880kWh - Installer estimate 3452 kWh:Average over 6 years = 4400 :j
