Have you actually got an 'approved' electric meter (apart from the TGM and your household consumption one) ? It would be possible to remove the metering component from your inverter and have it tested to see just how accurate it is but it can never become 'approved' unless it's fitted in a secure enclosure.
Most of us settle for keeping records of how our own inverter compares with our own TGM - but unless you actually have a test certificate for the TGM you won't know whether you're comparing with a really accurate meter or one that could easily be a couple of percent out.
My approved electric meter is the one I am billed from..... :rotfl::rotfl:
    0.47 Os today.
    Similar story here....0.68 O's:(
Back to the office; Inverter reads: 10558 kWh: Generation Meter reads 10283 kWh. Both are 4 days short of 4 years....coffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

That is indeed the 'household consumption meter' I referred to earlier. It has to be approved so that it can be used for billing purposes but there is no way in which you could use it to check against your TGM or the inverter's built in meter - apart from the very rare circumstances in which it had an export register built in (as most 'smart meters' would) and you were able to isolate every appliance in the house so that total generation became exactly equal to total export.
