Okay, but you did save, as you had no electric supply to use, so you must have had a cheaper day than normal.........
Your comments were no doubt intended to be helpful but afraid they were completely irrelevant.

This is what my post said :-
Electricians insisted they had to connect their generator before the meter (which caused them no end of work - serve them right !) rather than the easily accessible isolators at front of cabinet, so no free lecky.
    i.e. a generator WAS connected
I did have electricity nearly all day
I had to pay for every watt I used rather than being able to get some of it from my solar panels.

Ok, I'm going to be cheeky here, but thought it worth a try.

Over the years I've hopefully offered a little bit of advice to potential PV'ers that may have been useful. I've learnt about PV by reading posts and threads, and also asking for help, especially on the Navitron forum.

On quite a few occasions I've actually asked for help, to answer a question on here, and have hopefully admitted this each time.

So ...... probably 50% of the advice and answers I've received have come from one guy, known as Gavin A on Navitron. He's been an absolute star.

This weekend he's going to the Calais refugee camp to help build a solar classroom.

I appreciate that this is very cheeky, but if anyone thinks they gained anything from any advice they received (inadvertently) from Gavin, then perhaps you might like to redirect a very small amount of FiT income to help towards the costs of this voluntary work.

Here's a thread on the matter:-

Any spare renewables kit for Calais refugee / migrant camp

I should point out that he hasn't asked this, I'm asking as I feel he's done a lot to help on here, without folk even knowing.

I do have bank account details, but they are personal, but if anyone wants to help, and lets me know, then I'll contact him and ask if it's ok to share, or if there is another way.

    Thanks for reading.
