What can one say to your 0.75 O's compared to my 1.56 O's for today.....coffee.gif

Well, this one can say 1.77 Os ;)

Half of that came from the smaller WNW system, so definitely 'a game of two halves' yesterday.

September still ticking along at, or near, average each day. Prediction still sitting at 105%.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.
  • Enphase users. Enlighten appears not to be reporting, but PVOUTPUT is collecting Enphase data correctly. Seems to be a problem at the server end.

I was wondering where you get your prediction from? Obviously it is easy to do a straight line prediction but most months are not constant output so is there somewhere that gives daily estimates rather than the pvgis monthly ones?
    I think....

Hiya. I just took the PVGIS monthly figures, put them into a spreadsheet by dividing by the number of days in each month. Then I 'played' with them. Up to June I start lower and end higher, after June I start higher and end lower. Whilst trying to match up the last day of one month with the first day of the next. Eg on a rising month of average 8kWh, then start at 7 and end at 9 and see how it all lines up.

Eric suggested a simple trick, which was to add two months together, then divide by the sum of the days, which should(ish) give you a figure for the end/start days as the months crossover.

If you do this, don't fuss too much, should be quick and easy, as it's only a guess.

I do find my generation is surprisingly boring month on month, but I assume a lot of that is down to having a split system, so the panels not in the sun balance out good and bad days, as they generate very little on a stunning blue sky day, but tick along nicely when it's a little poorer. Perhaps this helps to smooth out the peaks and troughs a little.

The table has turned; again, gets more like a proper Chinese restaurant .....1.84 O's for me....coffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).
  • Not a bad day yesterday, 4.32 O's.:j:j

If you use pvoutput.org (brilliant site, should be compulsory!!!) then it gives you a rolling month end prediction.
If you hover over the green target bar as shown you get the target and total so far, at the end it shows the percentage of target:

    PVOutput_month_target.jpg

If you click the bar once, then it changes to predicted month end result.
If you hover over the bar again, you can see your pro-rata figures:
