Feeling a bit flat now
That's stressful. It has happened to me twice in my 40 year career so far. On each occasion, it acted to my advantage in the fullness of time although it felt dreadful at the time.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0 -
Thanks Sterling.
I've taken the bull by the horns, as it may save a job, and accepted the redundancy terms. Generous (ish) but certainly not enough to keep the wolf from the door.
But it was the uncertainty that was killing me. Now I'm certain that I can only go forwards, I can knuckle down and get myself working, hopefully within a reasonable timeframe!
So any reasonable offers pm me!4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.0 -

Feeling a bit flat now
I'm going through the process of a compulsory redundancy at the moment myself having worked for the local Constabulary for the past 25 years, my last day is 1st June.
I was offered redeployment to another role but didn't really want to take it and of course I would have had to look the gift horse of the redundancy offer in the mouth too which I just couldn't. I was very daunted at first, in fact its one of the reasons I've been away from this thread recently but now coming to terms with what's happened and actually beginning to look forward to a change of work scene. Looking around I'm amazed at just how many jobs there are out there obviously not nearly all that I'd be suited for but seems plenty to go at.
Good luck with whatever and wherever the future takes you
