SSE have been experiencing about 6 month of system upgrades regarding their FiT payments.
Called yday to submit a reading (I realise I should have done it before April 1st to avoid confusion regarding rate increase) does anyone know what amount of my generated units will be allocated the new rate? I assume its an estimate? Not sure if that works in my favour or not.....
This submit was from October 11th til yesterday, and amounted to 1153 units .

    Cheers.

They use linear interpolation to arrive at a 31/03 figure.

I actually gave them a 31/03/2015 figure this year and they went and used a different one! It was higher, but only by about 25kWh so I decided to let it slide...
    3.924kWp (12X327Wp SunPower). SolarEdge SE3500 inverter.
Surrey/SE. 30 degree roof pitch, chimney shading from mid afternoon.

Hmm. All this talk of the mythical 7 O's has got me thinking. When calculating O's should I use the TIC or the max. rating of my inverter? I have 2.5kWp of panels and a 2kW inverter. Yesterday I was on the inverter limit for hours.
It's the rating of the panels, not the inverter, this has been ruled on before. If I used my inverter rating I'd have been way over 8 Os and I'm not aware anyone in the UK has achieved that.
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.

Do you know what the actual FiT rate increase would have been for me? or have a link to appropriate website.

As Oscar is the de facto arbiter of acceptable behaviour in relation to generation figures here, perhaps he might like to rule on this one?

    Hmm, I would say a factor of 2.5 kWp....smiley-laughing021.gif

I guess you keep a spreadsheet of your daily/monthly figure, just give em the reading as of 31st March and yesterdays ....simples...coffee.gif

Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

However, with the inflationary uplift being so small this time, it may only be a matter of a few pennies difference.

Ok, just worked it out, it really is pennies!

New forum style: lots of white space with small text and too many characters per line. Not so good those of us with deteriorating eye sight.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

Saw the new skin last night, bloody awful.
All these new meeja types obviously have prefect vision and too much wine on their hands.
For those on a mobile device, the skin needs to be dark with a light font for battery conservation.

    Mse, just say no
