Considering the amount of fluffy cloud (Cumulus, for those cloud spotters out there ) about, not bad at all

saw a peak of 3.8xx kW

195.8 kWh for the month so far

still on track for 4 MWh+ for the year

4.3kW since 12noon. Ok, only a small window of overlapping opportunity (12 - 2pm), but still a good laugh.

Thinking of going out to get a water tank and an immersion, just so I can switch it on!

Should I be concerned that both neighbouring houses have just caught on fire?

Any idea how much of this is due to a milder year and being in credit for a while ? .... I take it that you're not seriously suggesting that your SP is saving £936/year((120-42)x12) of imported electricity .... that would suggest that your system is producing around 2000kWh/kWp with a 100% self consumption level .... :rotfl:

Obviously it may be down to the weather...not sure how this year compares to 2011 tho.
All I can say is, last Sept when I received my e.on bill, I was £51.99 in credit. I was also asked to increase payments to £120.00 pm. This was lowered in Jan to £96.00 and again in July to £84.00.
Also receiving a cheque for £146.00.
After paying my bill last week I am now £210.00 in credit.
After speaking to e.on they suggested I lower my D/D to £42.00pm
All of the reduction may not be down to SP. I have changed the way I used to use electricity. I am more aware of what it is costing me too. I turn all my standby items off in the evening/lights in empty rooms and anything else I can find.
We use a de-humidifier(costly) but now, I often put it on flat out on during sunny periods and then econ mode in the evenings.
ESE's device to heat the water, is making a massive contribution also(almost no gas usage for 5 months)

So maybe SP is saving me more, because it has motivated me to do some of the things that are reducing my bill.
Will put Dec figures/usage up when next bill arrives.

Totally agree with this

Without doubt, since buying my Solar Panels I am much more aware and find "fun" being more efficient with my energy use, and also making the most of it.

PS 13.5 kWh today, above average, happy
