Hi just had a quick look at this, I have been renting for years and a gas safety certificate is a legal requirement and must be done annually. You can report him to your local authority about that.0

The only other witness to me signing the agreement was my mate cos we actually signed all the paper work and deposit in her house which is just down the the road from the house I rented from him. She didn't sign anything.
Will check out the template letters.

Well my washing machine gave up the ghost a few week ago. I have since sent my LL two letters asking for it to be repaired or replaced and also asked about safety checks...........so far no answer from him! What a surprise!!!!
I have now filled out the form from PRHP and shall send that off tomorrow, so we will see whether I get anywhere now.
Only problem is, I only have which I think is just like a PO Box type address for my LL, so who's to say he even checks his mail there??
Anyway, just have to wait and see what happens. No washing machine is causing me a great lot of hassle I could do without.0 -
If you have a smart phone there is an app called screen-muncher that takes a picture of the screen on your phone. You can then print out a picture of the texts to provide a paper trail.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
