Npower - money for nothing!
This from Which's website: 'Npower has announced it is cutting gas prices by 5%.
The cut applies to customers on Npower's standard and capped tariffs and will come into effect on 1 February 2012.'
Oh really?...
I paid my quarterly (big) Npower gas bill (Standard Tariff), period to 23/1/2012 with an estimated reading 7628, then next day received an amended bill £42 higher, stating a price change on 31/1/2012, (after my billing period had finished anyway), with an actual reading taken by them 3 weeks after on 23/2/2012 of 7621 - 7 UNITS LOWER BUT CHARGING ME £42 MORE!
Now I have been sent a red letter for the £42.
I have already paid for the units consumed, estimate or not.
I am deciding now which supplier to change to if this is not resolved.
Ofcourse I'm not the only one, if it wasn't for the obviously similar readings, I would not have time to fathom the purposefully confusing charges - even with the leaked secret formula.

Do you have an actual reading that you took on the 1st Feb 2012 that you can supply to Npower? £42 is a big difference and does not seem right to me. I'd have to get a calculator out with the bill to see what it should have been but the difference is usually just a couple of pounds.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
