Paymentcare for Santander Mortgage

Hi,
Back in 2000 we took out our mortgage with the Abbey National and was told it was imperative that we took out their Paymentcare policy (for accident and sickness cover) as I was self employed. At the time I worked less than 16 hours a week and on reflection my husbands wages would have covered my contribution towards the mortgage quite easily if I was unable to work.
12 years down the line, I'm still paying £18.00 a month for the policy and to be honest, only when I checked my statements did I realise I still had the policy going!
I know Martin Lewis would curse me for not knowing what was coming out of my bank account but would I have a case for being mis sold PPI particularly regarding the minimal hours I was working. The policy booklet does say that the self employed must work for more than 16 hours to be covered.
Any advice would be greatly received.:)
