I've just noticed 80 odd programs running in start up, I have disabled a few through crap cleaner which is indicated with a no rather than a yes here, hopefully these aren't necessary. What are the RealtekAudio ones for?

Are there any more here which are superfluous?

Realtek Audio is for your soundcard / speakers / mic etc.
How do I add a signature?

    Shareaza
    swg
    Adobe ARM
    Adobe Reader Speed Launcher
    Eraser
    SunJavaUpdateSched

And that's just for starters... search the name or filename at either of these:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/
    http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_content.php

    EG:
    Yes HKLM:Run SynTPEnh %ProgramFiles%\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exe
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/SynTPEnh-5373.html
    Yes HKLM:Run IgfxTray C:\Windows\system32\igfxtray.exe
    http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_pages/1000-1999/1296_igfxtray.exe.htm

those in red, you can change to Disabled. The realtek ones in CCleaner just relate to the GUI tray so can be disabled.

If you want to cut down on the running processes, look at blackviper's OS configuration pages - use services.msc to do the changes

I'd get a decent virus scanner seeing as you're a software, music or film thief.

And no, its not legal file sharing despite what Shareasa say.

What nonsense. There is nothing illegal about file sharing, especially your own material. You are getting confused about downloading copyrighted materials or media!

I've disabled most of those, however, according to bleeping computer this one should be enabled

TPwrMainTPwrMain.EXE Y Related to Toshiba's power management software for their laptops.

I've been a fan of Mr Viper's for a long while, he provides a very good basis for tweaking :)
