fraud>prison>homeless. It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

The scheme is a scam on so many levels. If you want to commit fraud to get onto it I can think of no better person to join a scam scheme than a fraudster. At least it stops a decent person coming unstuck with the shared ownership nightmare on that property.
Oh it is easy to check, but there is no way I will tell yourself how, just incase you try to dodge it.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

Well the very first thing that occurs is that they will do a credit check and find the credit agreement for the existing mortgage (assuming there is one).0

i don't think the scheme is scam, number of ways to check will be
as another member said credit check
and i guess if they know the property address then do a title search
i am not sure if you can find out the details without knowing the location though0
