More iTunes problems!!

This is starting to annoy me now! What I import a compilation CD into iTunes, it doesn't put it into track order!! For instance, what is track one on the CD is now track 4 on iTUnes (although in the track info it still shows as track 1).
The only way I can see to get around this is to change the artist to the album name, however, its then problematic to identify the song. Is there any way to import the album, keeping the artist names in place and the tracks in order? I've tried setting it as a compilation but this doesn't work!

It could just be your view preferences, what do you have the tracks ordered by when you look at them? Also make sure you get iTunes to add the track number to the filename.0

I have my music sorted by Album, how do I get iTunes to add the track number to the file name?0 -
Preferences > Advanced > Importing > Create file names by track number. Also try going to View > View Options and checking Track Number, you can then order your songs specifically by track number. Usually you don't have to do that but depending on how the compilation is tagged, it's being a bit fiddly.0

Thanks for the suggestions, but neither did any good, as soon as I changed a track to the artis name it put it in a different order. I want to keep them grouped by album, but also have the artists entered on compilations, but it doesn't appear that this is possible.0 -
On the bar that separates the name, time, artist ect. click on the 4th column along.0

Thats how I have it set up, but what happens when you have a compilation CD with various artists on it?0
