Blue screen crashes

On a fairly new PC running Win 7 I am getting random crashes.

Sometimes it flashes a message about Kernal before it reboots, sometimes another form of blue screen.

The last time it enabled me to get this message

0xC000009D, or STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED, indicates defective or loose cabling, termination, or that the controller does not see the hard disk.

Sounds like your computer hasnt been built properly.

It should still be under warranty if it's fairly new.

Tried a System Restore (or if fairly new, a Factory Restore once you've backed up any data)? That will determine if it's a software/OS issue.
If the problem persists, it's a hardware issue and it should go back under warranty.

Well did a full check of the C drive for errors(took hours) and it found and fixed some faulty clusters in 3 files.

Hasn't crashed since - wait out!!
