    Hi Broke n Broken,

I am sorry you are in a very difficult situation and am not sure what to suggest, did you email Rethink? If they cant help, maybe they will be able to help you access other sources of help?

I am in a similar situation as far as benefits are concerned but get a lot of help from an NHS unit. I am waiting to receive the ESA50 form myself and am really worried about it.

Hope things get better for you,

    Muirbabe

ps Thanks very much Muttleythefrog and rogerblack for very useful links

pps I think someone mentioned MIND earlier, I know my local MIND office respond to emails and they can sometimes offer 1to1 support

    Hi Broke & Broken,

Sorry for your troubles and though unable to help I do understand your anxieties.

Please take the good advice from kind posters and ignore the rest that are, quite frankly, appalling - They are part of Broken Britain and are not welcome on this or any forum, though do frequent it and will always come back to judge and mock those they believe are weak.

I wish you all the best.

ps. there are other sites that could be of help to you - if you find this one too unpredictable and upsetting.
  • Hi, I don't know whether this is useful but i thought i'd post as i've recently been through the process myself as a person with mental health problems and "passed".

my assessment was done by a nurse. no disrepect to her about that but without supporting documentation i reckon any old scrounger could come in and fake some mental health condition. my opinion is that supporting evidence is pretty important to try and get to help you out.

look, you don't have to see a particular gp. is it a practice? you can see any of the doctors. also, if you find it difficult, write a letter to the surgery explaining the issues and problems. that way there's an audit trail.

you know you want proper help and it is difficult yes but what can i say. this ain't a pull yourself together post as i speak from someone with a similar sounding character to you whose recently been through the process and passed.

    cheers
