Hi Sorry if this has already been answered. My daughter bought a car from a garage in 2009 and I think she was misold PPI. when we went to part exchange the car we found out that she didnt have a car loan but a pesonal loan. This was a few years ago. I have since thought that as she was not told what sort of loan that she had or had no idea who lent her the money it was quite possible that she was misold PPi. I have no paper work for this but have checked through bank statements and when she eventually sold the car the money was paid back to Clydesdale Bank. I understand that this is now Barclays with no paperwork or policy number or anything is it worth writing to Barclays. Before anyone thinks how stupid yes she was - a 21 years old and her equally stupid boyfriend who thought he knew everything. Luckily that was a longtime ago and he is long gone!!

It will be the garage that she needs to complain to. The bank has no liability.0

Correct, but would he direct a SAR to the garage or the Bank to get the account numbers etc?magpiecottage wrote: »It will be the garage that she needs to complain to. The bank has no liability.0 -

if it was 2009 I doubt she had PPI, it was very early 2009 when everyone stopped selling the single premium ppi, I doubt a dealer would have bothered selling a monthly ppi which there nought wrong with.0
