Single-sided & double-sided RAM dilemna

Hi all,
I have got the following memory:
2 x CT6464Z40B.8TD2
2 x CT6464Z40B.16TG2
I used to have an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard which accepted all 4 memory modules.
Cos my motherboard failed, I got an ASUS A8N32-ALI Deluxe replacement motherboard.
I can use each of the memory modules on its own. I can use each pair on their own. However, I can't use all 4.
The motherboard manual states:
'Due to CPU limitation, DIMM modules with 128Mb memory chips or double-sided x 16 memory chips are not supported on this motherboard.'
I assume that my .16TG2 memory modules are double-sided (they've got chips on both sides on the module).
Is there anyway around this.
I bought both of these from Crucial specifically for my A8N not knowing that there was a difference. Before getting the replacement A8N32, I checked that CT6464Z40B was supported by my new motherboard. How could I have known that the new motherboard would not accept both new and old memory in tandem.
Thanx
