Current Account Monthly Fees

Hi
Looking to change my current account....I notice a lot of Current Acc's are now charging a monthly fee with lot's chucked in.
Question is...Are these worth moving to?
I don't have an overdraft (Apart from the free £100 one) and there is always deals for a years travel insurance available from somewhere (Last year I got the Barclays one - Buy a weeks worth and get the year free, the year before Egg for £16 for the year).
So, worth taking? or go with a "normal account".
The reason I am looking to switch is I am with IF and am looking for a bank with branches. Nothing against IF (Been great so far) just looking for branches!
Thanks

Only you can answer that!
You need to work out the annual fee. Work out what you currently pay for out of the 'benefits' (don't use their figures!) and then work out whether you'd be better off paying the fee and utilising it or buying each item seperately and having a fee-free current account.

Fair point....
Based on there "Freebies" - The best 2 are Overdraft and Travel Insurance....The answers are Free Accounts are best.

Have a look at Nationwide's 'Flexaccount' current account. They have a lot of high street branches, pay a decent rate of interest, have internet access if you need it, and give you a Visa debit card with no charges when you use it overseas.
