Wanted: Decent waterproof and shocproof camera

Well, it looks like my beloved Olympus 850 is not waterproof anymore so I have to look for another. Before I spend £180 on another Olympus is there another brand I should look out for. It MUST be waterproof and shockproof like the Olympus Tough, this one has been battered and bruised but has been well worth the money we have spent on it.
It's been giving me an error message to check the USB cover for a while and I have had look over it today and the slot where the USB Cover fits has had a dink and it's no longer going to be waterproof as it is not sealed. We have a big holiday coming and we need a waterproof camera so this is as good a time as any to get a new one.

The Gopro is excellent, although not technically a camera more of a recorder. It does take pictures however does not come as standard with a view finder but it is excellent quality and water proof, shock proof.Used by a lot of action shots for Tv such as the gadget show0
