DH came home with a giant bunch of tulips for me on Friday....now I know!! Still they are lovely and purple and greatly appreciated!0

Quick tip for people who find they don't last long...
do the usual trick of cutting off the bottom 2cm as suggested with a slight angle to the cut. Then take a pin or needle and !!!!! the stems all the way through about an inch under the flower. They will perk right up in an hour or two and you can keep doing it every few days.0 -
no delivery at mine either and it's huge. think this is a promo exercise and few will manage to buy them. store stuffed with masses of over-priced "garage forecourt" bunches of mixed flowers though. goodness they make mugs of some shoppers at this time of year.
But I thought a better buy than the £5 tulips that won't last a week were the £5 antiruinum (sp) plants in many colours. Thats whatI decided on.0 -
Just been to my local express they have signs up saying all mothers day flowers now half price they had a list next to it and these are on it so I'm guessing they are now £2.50 don't know if all stores have it and I didn't buy any but people were swarming round them and getting a few bunches
*I should have said this was a small express store and they seemed to have more flowers then space I bet there will be plenty of bargains to be had near closing time in all stores for flower lovers2012 wins- FB Clean Campaign eyebrow kit, Heinz ketchup Indian Spices, 4x rocky road squares, magners eye-pads, £500 from pepsi, 3x green&black cooking choc bars

Just got 4 of the 10 tulips for £1.00 total instead of £3 each.
£11 saving not bad.
They had yesterdays date on, but look great, really pleased.

Just been in my local Tesco, some had dropped in price to 30p, but some of the little flowers in a rose pot had £2.50 on them, but the flowers inside had wilted so much and died, but there wasn't many flowers left at all. The card area was still really busy though.Wins for 2022: Hydratem8 Water bottle, diary, flowers, Good food show tickets, childrens books x3,
Thanks to all who post the comps & please let the comping fairy sprinkle dust on my entries!0
