Hi All, some interesting updates, so I appealed, and as suspected they are still denying the claim, however the letter i received today gave me some more info.

So it turns out that I didn't have PPI from the beginning. About a year into the loan i increased the loan amount, and the letter I go this morning tells me that the PPI was added when I increased the loan. Again, I still never gave permission for PPI to be added....

Any tips on how I carry on this claim?

If you are arguing with Welcome itself, then FOS can become involved. If it is the FSCS though it cannot.

So, another update. I've just posted off a SAR to welcome today (with postal order and recorded delivery etc). But doing more investigating it looks like this is the story....

From my credit file, the new loan started in Feb 2008, in March 2008 i was diagnosed with SLE, so I am now classed as disabled and have multiple health problems (blood infections, liver problems, kidney problems, a heart condition etc etc). So by the look of this, I was finally diagnosed with this illness within a matter of weeks of them adding on the PPI.

Now if they had asked me if i wanted PPI (which they didn't) i know they would have had to ask me about accidents, illness or medical conditions, where I would have told them that i was having investigations into health problems! but they didn't, so they added on the PPI anyway.

So, once I have the SAR and can correlate the dates, do you think i need to go down the medical route? i was reluctant to do this straight away, because i don't want people delving into my medical problems, but my money problems are affecting my health more and more, (hiding from debt collecters every day...) so I really NEED this PPI back.

Whats the story because the actual official diagnosis was a couple of weeks after the loan was increased?

    Any suggestions?!

Hi All, yesterday I got 2 letters from welcome. They contained a personal loan summary. All it was was a letter like a bank statement detailing each payment and the balance left. Surely i should have recieved more that this for my £10?!?!
