I don't follow
It shouldn't be down to the network to watch what you are using. There are plenty of ways to see what you have used and what you have left.
If Three said what you have told us then they are in the wrong but at the same time the responsibility should be with you, you signed the contract and you should be aware of what costs are involved if you use your inclusive texts etc.
There are also too many people coming on here and ranting about big bills after coming back from holiday. Again, the means are there to protect yourself, don't use the bloody thing, turn off voicemail, turn of a data connection etc etc. People use a service and are shocked that they have to pay for it.
People are quick to sign the dotted line and walk away with a nice new phone but don't want to be responsible for what comes with it. When you take out a contract with a network it is a legally binding contract, no different from your home phone. Why don't people read the small print?0 -
The point I'm trying to make, without ranting, is that I DID in fact think I'd covered all bases and repeated back to the salesperson, my understanding which was, as long as my son didn't call overseas or download from the web, he wouldn't be able to exceed his allowance - the problem lay with 3 not setting up the facility in the first place, THEN they tell me that actually this facility is not to be relied upon, when actually that is EXACTLY what they told me 1) in the store when they convinced me I would be protected against a teenager running up large bills 2) their call centre when I contacted them to query the huge bill. Both parties assured me with exception of overseas and internet, he wouldn't be able to use his phone to contact anyone except other 3 users once he had hit his limit!!
I appreciate there are some that want to get out of their responsibilities when things don't go their way, however, this is not the case.0
