Fixing a sofa?

THe OH sat on our sofa and a spring appears to have dislodged and is sticking up. So much he can't sit on it.

Can it be repaired? If so how?

It's a recliner in leather if that makes a difference

Most things can be repaired - it's just whether you have the skill to do it yourself or the money to pay someone else.

Reupholstery can be as expensive as buying a replacement.

I renovated a suite a few years ago and got all of the bits on ebay for a pretty good price.

It's pretty simple to do a Diy repair, just remove the canvas underneath the furniture and you can see any broken springs and they'll probably only held with small nails.

this type is most common. an easy repair.
if the clips are broken they will need to be replaced too.

Yes that's the same as the one i changer Ormus, but it wasn't on a recliner.
The place i went to was an upholstery supplier at the back of TJs in Liverpool.
