Experian taking ages......

Hello,

I have received my confirmation letter to say I have been added to electorol roll from the 1st Feb. I have called credit expert 4 times with my polling number, but they still haven't updated there records that I am on the electoral roll.

Has any body else had this trouble, I am getting so annoyed!

Also they say my credit report is "poor", but all my accounts are all satisfactory, I do not have any credit cards any missed payments, ccj's etc. I moved house in October is this the reason why, other then not being on the electoral roll?

Sorry just looking for some advice.

Thanks

They can only add you when they get the info from your council. Credit scores mean nothing, lenders have their own criteria. If you have no credit your report is poor as there is no proof you can manage credit.

Thanks for the reply, I have had a car loan all paid off, credit cards all satisfied and paid off. I also have a mortgage.

I have called the council and they said they give the credit agencies the information in the middle of the month, so experian have had this info for a month and it still isn't updated!

Worth checking if the other 2 cra's have you on too. Just get the £2 report from Equifax and use noddle for callcredit. It's worth keeping some credit open as after 6 years it all drops off.

Its pretty usual to take up to 6weeks from being updated by the council to appearing with the credit reference agencies. Not unheard of to take twice as long as that with equifax.
A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give

  • Hi there,

I'm having the same problem. I got confirmation from my local Council that I am on the electoral roll on 1st Feb. I opened an Experian account at the end of March so that I could check (and keep checking!) when this information reaches the credit rating agencies, but so far, as of 17th April, I'm still showing as unregistered.

Grrr, extremely frustrating as I have to move house in about 6 weeks...
