got a new telly and plugged the scart lead into the back of it ( this is attached to the dvd recorder box with sky box attached to that) but now when i want to try and access the Sky listings i have to press AV on dvd remote.i want to know why ( was fine on the old tv and haven't changed owt) and how i can sort it out? haven't had telly on yet tonight as it drove me mad last night trying to sort it out.

i just want to be able to switch telly on and use my sky remote.haven't a clue what i'm doing and there's freeview as well

You should connect the Sky box directly to the TV, the Dvd recorder can also be connected directly, or via the Sky box.
You can find the code for your TV on the Sky interactive hep section.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

rang Sky in the end-had been hesitant cos i stopped subscribing last month and i hadn't got confo of posts in here (dunno why?)

the guy told me the only way ( only one scart on the telly) i will get the set up as i want is is to have a Sky HD box and HD cable.told him that was a load of pi$$ing about cos i didn't want to pay and i didn't really want a new Sky box.he was however able to sort out the prob i had with the sound.i wasn't able to alter it on the Sky remote but i pressed a few buttons on it and put in a code and it works

so back to square one........ thanks for the posts btw
